Prime pressure treated lumber
Built with MicroPro® pressure treated lumber — certified green, cleaner looking, and engineered for ground contact, above-ground, and freshwater exterior use.

Every post that touches the ground or concrete is ground-contact rated, so the preservative treatment is designed for direct burial and wet conditions.

Fiberon Good Life composite decking
A composite upgrade on every deck: Fiberon® Good Life Weekender Collection, .93 in. x 5.25 in. boards with matching fascia and riser, backed by a 25-year limited stain/fade warranty.
3" coated decking screws
Every board is fastened with 3-inch exterior-coated decking screws. No nails, no staples, no shortcuts. The coating resists rust and corrosion so the boards stay tight.
Available add-on
Deck joist butyl tape
A self-adhesive waterproof membrane applied along the top of every joist and beam before the decking goes down, helping protect the framing.

Railing & stairs
2x4 top and bottom rails with closely spaced treated balusters, plus a 4-ft step set on every deck with treated stringers and prime tread boards.
Patio covers & metal roofing
Covered patios framed over the deck with 26 or 29 gauge painted Caliber Metal panels with Sherwin-Williams SMP coating, backed by a 40-year limited manufacturer warranty.
Stain & finishing
The recommendation is Behr Premium Semi-Transparent Oil-Based Stain — it penetrates into the wood and wears rather than peels. Transparent waterproofing sealer and Behr exterior paint are also available.
